5+ apps for Windows Phone

WINDOWS PHONE APPWindows Phone marketplace is constantly expanding everyday. New apps are coming in the marketplace. But still many users face the dilemma over choosing the right apps for their Windows Phone. Here in this post, we will discuss various apps that you can use in your Windows Phone.

So here are the apps :-

PUT PEOPLE FIRST
  1. Skydrive
Microsoft's answer to GDrive, DropBox and so many cloud-hosting services. If you are on a Windows Phone, you may know that you have access to 7GB of cloud-storage data in the form of skydrive. So, you have to install this app. This app also comes handy keeping in mind that current Windows Phone ( upto the likes of Lumia 900 ) doesn't have expandable memory.
  2. XBox Live
If you are into playing games at your Windows Phone, you would love this app. Its like a social network of gamers, who play on their Windows Phone + on XBOX's etc. Installation size is like 5 mb. Once downloaded, you get points ( + more ) when you play a XBox LIVE compatible game.
  3. MetroTube
This app is one of the best ( or arguably, the best ) youtube app for Windows Phone. You can directly stream videos, like/dislike them, view the comments or even post one. You can even login to your youtube account and play your choice of videos. You can choose videos from a specific category to view them.
  4. Talk.To/IM+
Windows Phone enables to chat with your facebook contacts natively, but in order to access more accounts ( like Hotmail, Gtalk etc ), you should use either Talk.to or IM+. Both are good applications.
  5. Adobe Reader
Files today are shared in form of pdfs and talking of that, I mean the most often sharing. PDFs are small and portable. And you even have an app for that ! Adobe Reader works seamlessly with all PDFs.
  6. Assistant
Your own personal assistant. Many of you would ask, why is there an app for that when we have an inbuilt application ( that is native, no need of download ). But the fact that Assistant looks and feels and converses like Siri ( yeah the S-Word here too ). You can check weather, email, search google and even talk with the assistant. If you think the functions are limited, keep in mind that this is just an app.
We would add more apps in another post, so keep reading TechHound. Any queries/suggestion shall be answered in the comment section.
